At Roam Rider, we get it—adventurers need more than just a basic camper. You need something rugged, cozy, and well-equipped, but also, let’s be honest, a little glamorous. After all, who says going off the beaten path means you have to sacrifice comfort? Not us.

Our journey began in 2019 when we attended an overland show that opened our eyes to the world of truck campers. One particular setup caught our attention: a shiny new Ford F150 with a camper on the back. This camper had it all—a diesel heater, a two-burner propane cooktop, a full-size bed, a dinette, a small fridge, a 700w inverter, a 200Ah lithium-ion battery, and even an outdoor shower. Oh, and it popped up—low profile for a sleek, discreet look. Sounds pretty great, right? Well, not exactly. The price tag was a jaw-dropping $53,000, and the wait time? Four months. That’s when we thought, “We can do better. We can create a camper that’s stronger, more luxurious, and more affordable.”

Fast forward to 2022, and we jumped headfirst into the truck camper world. Overlanding was growing fast, and it was clear there was a gap in the market. People weren’t just looking for a basic camper shell with a few essentials. They wanted a fully equipped, ready-to-go adventure rig. And honestly, “just good enough” doesn’t cut it when you’re heading into the wild.

By the end of 2023, we launched our first model, the 100D, and it was a hit! But we quickly realized we’d need to innovate to stand out in the crowded camper market. So, for our 2025 Model SL, we added two slides, expanding the interior by a whopping 16 cubic feet! It’s all about maximizing space and comfort.

Our campers are crafted with premium materials, built to be tough but luxurious, and packed with all the comforts you’d expect.
